Message from the Co-presidents

Dear P.S. 101Q Families,

Welcome back to school! We hope you and your children are in great spirits and ready for an exciting new academic year.

The P.S. 101 Parent's Association is thrilled to extend a warm welcome to both returning and new families. As we embark on this journey together, our primary goal is to create a supportive and inclusive school community that fosters the growth and development of our children.

Throughout the school year, the Parent's Association will be actively involved in various activities and initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational experience for our students. We believe that when parents, teachers, and the school administration work hand in hand, we can provide the best possible environment for our children to thrive.

Here's a sneak peek of what you can look forward to this year:

  • Community Events: We'll be organizing exciting events like the Welcome Back GALA, Parent-Teacher Socials, and Monster Mash. These gatherings are fantastic opportunities to meet fellow parents, teachers, and staff, strengthening our sense of community.
  • Fundraising Initiatives: Your support in our fundraising efforts is greatly appreciated. The funds we raise go towards enhancing our school's resources and providing enriching experiences for our students. Stay tuned for details on our upcoming fundraisers.
  • Parent Workshops: We'll be hosting informative workshops on various topics, from academic support to parenting tips. These workshops are designed to empower parents with valuable knowledge and tools.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: If you're interested in getting more involved, there will be plenty of volunteer opportunities available. Your contribution, big or small, can make a significant difference.
  • Communication: We're committed to keeping you informed and involved. You can expect regular updates through newsletters, emails, and our website.

We encourage you to join us in making this school year memorable and enriching for our children. Whether you're a returning family or new to our school community, your presence and engagement are invaluable.

If you have any questions, ideas, or would like to volunteer your time or skills, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

Here's to a successful, inspiring, and fun-filled school year ahead! We look forward to getting to know each of you better and working together to create a nurturing and educational environment for our children.

Diversity Statement

At PS101 we celebrate and are grateful for our rich diversity. This diversity includes race, ethnicity, gender identity, age, religion, socioeconomic status, language and abilities. Diversity of all types benefits everyone in our community and is especially essential to a productive and inclusive educational environment.

In our school community, we strive for a culture where the administration, faculty, staff, students and parents/families share in the collective responsibility to address, prevent and eliminate actions, decisions and outcomes that result from, and perpetuate, racism and bias.
